Get to know Acacia and Eucalyptus, best material for plywood

The plywood core is considered the most important part of the plywood. Together with glue, the plywood core determines the strength and durability of the plywood. Any good plywood should have a decent core.

In Vietnam, the most popular and abundant wood is Acacia, Eucalyptus. These trees are easy to grow and well adapted to the climate in this country. These hardwoods have outstanding features for plywood ranked first quality such as holding nails, screws, and glues well, easy to color, and can be sanded and polished to a great finish. Wood is easy to cut with both hand tools and machines. The ability to resist termites and the ability to bear strong and strong impacts of wood is very good.

Especially, in Vietdutch JSC we prefer to use both types of wood to make the core.

1. What is Acacia and Eucalyptus – 2 types of wood common in the core of plywood?

  • Acacia

Acacia not only has beautiful color, deep and natural wood grain, but also has good resistance to rot and termites. This makes acacia wood a top choice for plywood cores in furniture, decorations and high-end construction. With its heavy weight, acacia wood provides good bearing capacity and low settlement, which helps plywood products maintain stable shape and size.

  • Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus is a tropical hardwood material in Southeast Asia and China. Almost all eucalyptus veneer core plywood is processed under two times hot press. This type of wood has a natural yellow-white color and smooth wood grain. Eucalyptus wood is also highly durable and resistant to rot and termites.

2. Core plywood with accuracy technical specification in Vietdutch partner factories

The best quality plywood is the plywood with good input material so the quality of core veneers must be controlled strictly before using them in manufacturing.
